Research has shown that 31% of men have difficulty to some extent with sexual activity.
Problems in the sexual response cycle are referred to as dysfunction, these problems stop a man from experiencing any kind of satisfaction during sexual activity.
There are four phases in the sexual response cycle:
Excitement
Plateau
Orgasm

Exercise helps in improving blood pressure and blood flow which reduces the risk of developing ED. It can also help you manage your ED symptoms. (3)
Excessive smoking and drinking have been known to cause various health problems. Reducing or eliminating smoking and drinking from your lifestyle will help in increasing your quality of life. The use of intoxicants has been known to cause problems with sexual activities they reduce the flow of blood to the penis and hinder the production of testosterone which affects both your performance and your desire for sexual activity.
Having a balanced and nutritional diet can help in reducing the risk of many diseases. Eating healthy goes a long way in improving the quality of your life. Reducing the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and clogged arteries help in managing ED as all these are risk factors in Erectile Dysfunction.
Engaging in sexual activity can help in improving erectile dysfunction over time. Getting even partial erections helps in managing ED. Increasing the flow of blood to the penis can help in improving sexual function in ED patients overtime.
