Taking Care of Your Skin Without Using Products

Skincare products are so many and easily available today. People do all sorts of advertisements for skincare products from shopping hauls to overpriced advertisements.

From all these, skincare becomes expensive and some products even end up not working out for you. Not to mention the constant exposure to chemicals that might cause serious consequences such as cancer. Let us look at some of the ways to take care of your skin without using chemical skin care products.

Drinking a lot of Water

Drinking water will not affect the skin directly, but it will clean up your insides including the liver which reflects on your skin. Drinking water assists the liver to get rid of toxins. This in turn helps fight infections and skin conditions such as eczema.

Reducing Sugar Intake

Too much sugar from processed food and beverages creates a simple sugar known as fructose. How does this affect the skin? Well, this sugar reacts with the proteins found in the skin creating a compound. The collagen and elastin found on the skin responsible for making the skin firm, are then destroyed by the compound made from the reaction. This in turn makes the skin look wrinkly and saggy.

Keep Out Of the Sun

It has been reported that 90% of skin ageing is caused by too much sun exposure. Staying in the sun without protection may have serious consequences such as causing skin cancer. This mostly affects people with lighter skins, though dark skins are also not spared by the wrath of the sun.

Staying in shadows, wearing hats and glasses are some of the ways to keep of the sun

Avoid Touching Your Face

This is the simplest way to take care of your skin yet can prove to be hard. We often find ourselves touching our faces subconsciously. Learning to avoid touching your face will save you from diseases and infections. Our hands touch surfaces and dirt all the time. Most of the time the surfaces are not sanitized. In turn, we end up carrying a lot of germs and even viruses. These will not only affect your skin health but your overall health as you will end up having those bacterias entering your body through pores and openings from the face.

Exercise

Lastly, exercising is another way to take care of not only your muscles but your skin as well. When exercising, the body sweats a lot, this opens up pores and remove excess oils as well as dirt. Make sure to wash your face with mild soap after exercising. This will ensure the oils and dirt don't stick on the face and clog the pores again.
